Branding for Humans

“I am incredibly pleased with the excellent work that Tomera and her team are doing, for the Foundation. So good that I have ordered that the change be carried out throughout the Group on all branding. The semicolon has always been synonymous with those who struggle with depression, anxiety, and other forms of ill mental health. It only seemed right to adopt it as our logo within the Group. The Semicolon means, ‘What comes afterward’ now that means Grae Matta.”

My work spans startups, nonprofits and global organizations. I focus on what actually moves people, teams and revenue.

I bridge cross-functional teams by listening first, translating regional needs into scalable systems and aligning sales and marketing through shared infrastructure, content and data so teams move together, not in parallel.

Each case study reflects a different context but the same approach: listen deeply, align language to human reality and build strategies people can actually use.

Three Key Steps

1

Active Listening Before Strategy

Before any positioning, messaging, or design work begins, I start by listening to founders, teams and the people closest to the problem. This includes understanding what isn’t working, what feels uncomfortable to say, and where confidence breaks down. Strategy only works when it reflects real human experience, not assumptions or templates.

2

Psychology-Driven Language & Trust Signals

I focus on how language, tone and visual cues are interpreted under stress, uncertainty or decision pressure. By applying brand and behavioral psychology, I design messaging that reduces anxiety, builds trust quickly and aligns with how people actually make decisions especially in sensitive or high-stakes contexts.

3

Alignment Between Strategy, Teams & Reality

Strong brands succeed when internal teams feel seen, supported and confident using the language they’re given. I bridge the gap between strategy and execution by collaborating across roles and regions, ensuring messaging works in real conversations not just presentations and is adopted because it feels true, usable and respectful.
